Another of Petra’s many magnificent viewpoints, Ras Slaysel overlooks Wadi Arab and Wadi Marwan. The site was located along the ancient caravan routes that descend down to Umm Rattam caravan station on to Bir Mathkour and then to Gaza.   The remains of watch towers that were built here, and the caravan road, can still be seen.
